HPF is specialised in the production of hot forged thermally treated and mechanically processed metal components. The Company is a privileged supplier of medical, aerospace, automotive and power generation markets, often collaborating with the latter in the development of new processes and products and always pursuing customer satisfaction as its main goal.
In 1945, Carlo Leopoldo Lualdi, a former partner in a clinic, decided to produce medical instruments satisfying the demands of the market which was experiencing a lack of supply of these products in the post-war period. The first facility was established in Anduins, a small town in the region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, located in north-eastern Italy.

In addition to obtaining certification, the Aerlualdi L-59 was found to be a helicopter free from vibrations, with excellent performance and with a carrying capacity of 287 kg more with respect to the quoted and famous Bell 47; furthermore the aircraft was much more convenient.
the headquarters were transferred to Flagogna. The factory was designed for processing titanium, a new material which was recently being used in Italian industry, and for other special materials. The use of innovative materials in the production of components for aerospace, motor, and mechanical sectors, and for orthopedic devices represented a turning point in the life and development of the company.
After fifty years from its foundation, the company growth is constant and the facility now employs over 200 people involved in five strategic business fields: orthopaedics, aerospace, energy generation, mechanics, and motors. Important strategies, between the various sectors, have been developed with regards ton research, planning, and production. the company now implement total quality assurance systems.
Restoration begins on the helicopter L-59 I-GOGO which was the first to use the propeller tail rotor in fibreglass.
