DanaMed, Inc. is a medical device venture formed in 2014 to develop and bring to market a superior surgical approach to reconstructing Anterior Cruciate Ligaments (ACLs). The approach was conceived in 2013 by Dr. Dana Piasecki, a leading Sports Medicine orthopedic surgeon, and evolved through over 20 iterations to become the Hybrid Transtibial Technique (HTT). The HTT combines the advantages of the two widely-used conventional approaches to ACL reconstruction but avoids the significant surgical and clinical disadvantages of each.
