3T RPD Ltd was established in 1999 in Newbury, Berkshire, and has become a leading provider of plastic and metal Additive Manufacturing (AM) services throughout the UK and Europe. We remain unchallenged as the UK’s largest plastic AM (Selective Laser Sintering) provider supplying 50% of the UK market. Having moved into new purpose-built premises in September 2006 we subsequently increased our manufacturing facility in May 2007 to launch our metal AM (Direct Metal Laser Sintering/DMLS) capability. Having invested heavily in the necessary technology and personnel, we now supply 40% of the UK market and are at the forefront of the metal AM industry.
We produce lightweight, high performance metal and plastic parts that are usually unachievable by other traditional manufacturing methods. From one-off prototypes through to end-use production components, parts are optimised to retain their strength whilst reducing their weight. AM processes are cost-effective, fast and extremely accurate and we work with world-famous clients in many demanding industries including Aerospace, Architecture, Automotive, Medical, FMCG, Marine, Defence and Pharmaceutical.
With innovation and research being key to the success of our business, our team of highly trained engineers and finishers ensure that we consistently gain the best from these technologies. In recognition of this we were awarded AS 9100 Rev C for the production of metal parts using additive manufacturing (AM) in April 2012. We also hold ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485:2003 Medical Devices accreditations and are the first AM company in the UK to hold all three quality standards. This demonstrates our continuing quest to build the best parts for our customers whilst pursuing the highest standards of excellence in our service and delivery.
