In 2012, three young engineers set themselves an ambitious goal: to create the first 100% Mexican 3D printer. Two years later, Colibrí 3D entered the arena, selling 200 units the very same day it was launched until now have sold more than 600 units in Mexico. Francisco Martín del Campo, Juan Pablo González and Ricardo Madrigal are the people behind this project, all of them engineers at the technological firm InterLatin, based in Guadalajara, México.With the support of the Mexican Federal and State Government through a program for promoting technology development, the team began the process to create its own 3D printer.
