Advanced Materials Manufacturer American Elements Expands Production Capacity for Metal AM Powders

Los Angeles-based advanced materials science company American Elements announced the further expansion of its pure metal and metal alloy powder production facility to increase the volume and variety of powders it can make to support the burgeoning Additive Manufacturing industry.  “At full capacity, the improved facility can deliver several metric tons of high-purity alloys monthly,” stated Gabriel Leis, Head of Additive Manufacturing and Rapid Prototyping at American Elements.

American Elements is the world’s largest producer of highly spherical, agglomerate free, and narrowly distributed powders for additive manufacturing. American Elements maintains an efficient production process to yield the highest quality of additive manufacturing powders at an economical price.  This process has allowed American Elements to experiment with a number of exotic and custom alloys for 3D printing.

American Elements’ custom and exotic alloys are being employed in industries as varied as medical devices and aerospace components.  The company’s catalog of more than 15,000 products makes it the world’s largest metals and chemicals manufacturer devoted exclusively to advanced materials in industrial bulk and laboratory/research quantities. Our development programs have been a key source for academic and corporate research and new product development for over two decades.

Fundamental expertise in the properties, applications, and cost-effective manufacturing of advanced and engineered materials, including ultra high purity refining (99.999%) and nanoscale materials, allows us to meet the needs of thousands of global manufacturers (including over 30% of the Fortune 50), all U.S. national laboratories and military branches, universities throughout the world, and customers in a wide range of industry fields, such as energy, electronics, aerospace, defense, automotive, optics, green technology, and pharmaceuticals. American Elements also produces customer proprietary formulations from our network of production facilities worldwide.
