Alice Barki Wins 3DPink World Contest with Wearable Necklace

As part of the Technology Hub held at FieraMilanoCity, MiCo from April 20 to 22, designer Alice Barki of Milan won the first prize in the first edition of the 3DPink World Contest 2017, organized by Zortrax distributors 3DP World in Como.

Alice Barki, a young designer who his making quick moves in the 3D world with great determination, has brought home a Zortrax M200 printer with starter kits and an ABS spool, offered by the organizers of the competition created by CEO Alberto Canali and the Legal Advisor of the 3DP Como, the lawyer Barbara Ferrari.

The competition, open to women only, focused on creating an item in four specific themes: design, fashion and accessories, mechanics and art. A large number of candidates partecipated by sending designs from all over Italy.

For the “Sculpture” collier, Alice wanted to interpret a jewel to be worn with simplicity, defining sinuous shapes, exploiting her designer’s skills and the creativity that distinguished her.

Also interesting are the other proposals, which were admired at the Zortrax stand, exhibited for the entire duration of the fair, which saw a large number of participants very attentive to the novelty of the moment. The various conferences held during the three day kermesse in Milan also attracted a number of participants both professionals and enthusiasts. The date is set for the next edition in May 2018.

Alice Barki is very young, she is only 28 years old but has a remarkable resume: she graduated with the highest honors and a received her level II bachelor in industrial design. She is now a professor at the Nuova Accademia delle Belle Arti.

She boasts prestigious professional collaborations on architecture and fashion and, from time to time, she takes part in design contests. Her biggest inclination is industrial generative design, which she enriches with her artistic talent.
