Coobx to Intoduce New LIFT Photopolymerization Based System on March 9th

Coobx, a Liechtenstein based startup, announced that they are introducing a liquid photpolymer based 3D printer on March 9th. The new system will be based on an innovative new photopolymerization approach which has been named LIFT, an acronym that stands for Light Initiated Fabrication Technology.

As described in the promotional video, all details about the new system will be revealed next March 9th however, thanks to a contribution by 3D printing author and consultant Jochen H. Hanselmann (@DscheyH) we obtained a somewhat dated document which seems to describe an early version of the Coobx LIFT system.

According to the powerpoint presentation, LIFT technology is based on a vat system that takes the advantages from both the bottom-up and top-down systems, uniting them in a new way. We don’t know how far the company has come since this early presentation. For certain the early hardware designs look very different from the finished version that will be presented exactly four weeks from now.
