Desktop Metal Is Looking to Fill 12 Positions in Hardware and Software Engineering

Fresh on the heels of raising close to $50 million (from investors that include Stratasys and GE) Desktop Metal is now looking to significantly expand its team as they prepare to launch a truly office friendly metal 3D printer, to build complex parts at a price that makes it attainable by every design and manufacturing team.

The company is looking to fill positions both in software and hardware design and engineering to complement the current team, which is made up of experts in the fields of material science and metallurgy, mechanical engineering, robotics, industrial design, software, 3D printing and Computer Aided Design (CAD).

Hardware Design & Engineering

Desktop Metal is seeking team members across wide spectrum of engineering disciplines.  Experience working with inkjet technologies, 3D printing, materials, mechatronics/robotics, power electronics, thermal management, atmospheric controls, embedded software, computer vision, interferometry, machine learning, and state of the art control systems.

Software Engineering

The company is also looking for bright, motivated software engineers with 3D software development experience. Expertise in 2D/3D geometry creation, manipulation and query. Experience working with 3D graphics frameworks, with 3D streaming knowledge a plus. Experience developing 3D printing is also a plus.
