DWS Launches DFAB 3D Printer for Dental Restorations in Less than 20 Minutes.

The new DFAB 3D printer was presented at the IDS exhibit held last March. It is meant to change the way crowns and bridges are produced in a single process.

The system uses Photoshade technology to reproduce the color of a patient’s teeth, including different shades, giving the prosthesis a natural aspect. It can produce Class IIa restorations in one session and up to 5-element bridges in less than 20 minutes. For additional ease of use it also implements. Ready-to-use and disposable cartridges.

The DFAB is a stereolithography 3D printer developed specifically for dentists and prosthodontists. It produces natural-like teeth, with the purpose of increasing the efficiency and reducing the number of procedures for the production of dental prosthesis.

The device allows to save time, offering a prompt service and the best quality in terms of materials and 3D printing, thanks to the innovative Photoshade technology, patented by DWS. Starting from an .stl file, elaborated through an intraoral scan, the user simply selects colors and shades of the restoration.

High speed printing guarantees a 20-minute building time for a 5-element bridge, providing a treatment that could be completed in a single visit, without even resorting to external dental labs. The bridge is ready for the insertion after easy support removal and a quick finishing process.
