Shapescale Is the Most Affordable Full Body 3D Scanner on the Market

Even if you did not get a chance to pre-order batch 3 at $299, Shapescale is still the most affordable full body 3D scanner available today. Priced at $349 (subscrioption) /$699 (one time) it is not just a fitness device.

ShapeScale’s robotic arm  rotates continuously around you. It moves so you don’t have to. It moves the sensor head with 3 degrees of freedom to scan your body in under a minute. This enables scanning your body precisely without an array of sensors positioned all around you.

ShapeScale scans you in photorealistic 3D to give you a visual overview of your progress. Traditional scales don’t always tell you the whole story about what is going on with your body when you train. Often enough, since muscle is so much heavier than fat tissue, weight stays the same while body shape improves. ShapeScale shows you that you are on the right track and that your efforts are paying off.

The Kinect-like sensor head packs the latest 3D scanning technology in order to scan your body with millimeter precision. It also includes a camera to capture a realistic texture of your body. The sensor head takes hundreds of pictures and captures millions of 3D data points to generate your virtual avatar. It will also give you audio feedback on your progress, all the rest is available in the app.

The system allows you to:

  • VISUALIZE DIFFERENCES

See your body shape differences between two dates in time

  • TRACK BODY CHANGES

Visualize where and how much your body is growing or shrinking

  • TRACK GOAL PROGRESS

Understand when you will reach your goals

  • TRACK FAT MASS

Monitor how fat content is changing in your body parts

  • TRACK LEAN MASS
